Peer Mentor (Digital Skills / App)

Isaac Ohene is a committed education professional and community leadership advocate advancing quality basic education and youth development. He holds a Bachelor of Education degree from Peki College of Education, affiliated with the University of Cape Coast, and remains deeply committed to lifelong learning, having completed several short courses in digital skills and professional development.

Isaac joined the EduSpots network in 2023 during his National Service at Atanve D/A Basic School, where he served as Volunteer Lead. Through this role, he emerged as a strategic contributor to the community-led education movement, playing a key role in strengthening local ownership of education initiatives, promoting inclusive participation, and supporting safe, learner-centred learning environments. His leadership was further demonstrated through the successful renovation of the school library, made possible by a grant he secured as a participant in the 2024 EduSpots Catalysts Leadership Academy Programme.

Beyond EduSpots, Isaac currently serves as a professional teacher at Okumah M/A Basic School, where he contributes to instructional improvement, school leadership, and staff development, working collaboratively to enhance learning outcomes for pupils.

Isaac’s work is grounded in the belief that sustainable community transformation begins with equitable access to quality education. His professional philosophy centres on nurturing the innate potential of every child through strong partnerships between educators, families, and communities.

In his role as a Peer Mentor within the EduSpots Catalyst Community, Isaac is committed to strengthening peer learning, collaboration, and shared leadership across the network. He is passionate about inspiring and connecting Catalysts, encouraging the exchange of best practices, and amplifying the impact of community-led initiatives that drive meaningful and sustainable change.
