Play for Play Fundraising Challenge

As World Cup Fever begins, this is a simple 3 month fundraising Challenge (running from September-December), that enables students to design and lead their own play-based fundraising challenge (e.g. sports, drama or music related), with funding sent in December DOUBLED in the Big Give Campaign. This is perfect for D of E Bronze, CAS Projects, and wider school-based fundraising, with a range of awards and recognitions for all participants available. See the attached booklet or here for more information. All fundraising goes to support EduSpots’ work igniting digitalised community-led education as we aim to grow from 50 to 100 Spots.

Online Course in Communications, Power and Agency (September start)

Following the expansion of our online courses during the coronavirus pandemic, with schools such as Eton College, Sevenoaks School, Wellington College, and African Science Academy participating with outstanding feedback, we are relaunching these with a focus on power-informed communication in a social change context.

These 6 week online courses (self-directed learning) have a clear safeguarding approach, and would be perfect extension work for students with an interest in politics, literature, international development, geography, philosophy, religion, or wider intercultural understanding. Students receive a certificate at the end, with pass, merit, distinction or top in cohort. In the past some students have run this as a society, enabling group discussion.

Especially in today’s political context, intercultural understanding seems more important than ever, and this course was developed through my participation in the UNESCO Youth for Peace Intercultural Leadership Programme, with funding from UNESCO.  Read more in the attached booklet also found here
