Abdul-Malik Iddrisu

Catalyst Committee Member

Abdul-Malik’s journey of learning and uncovering life’s mysteries has always been at the heart of his passion. Growing up in a modest village setting, his childhood and early education were marked by challenges. Yet, these experiences built in him a strong sense of resilience and a relentless determination to succeed. He never allowed his circumstances to define his potential or limit his growth.

From an early age, Abdul-Malik understood the value of giving back to his community. Even before entering senior high school, he actively engaged in community service, driven by a deep desire to create meaningful change. His passion for education and science led him to pursue a Diploma in Basic Education, setting the foundation for his academic journey. With a steadfast commitment to personal and professional development, he went on to earn a Bachelor of Education in Science (Second Class Upper Division) from the University of Cape Coast.

His inspiration is drawn from the remarkable legacies of individuals such as Professor Francis Allotey, Christine Amoako-Nuama, Alexander Anim-Mensah, and Dr. Osman Adamu Dufailu—figures whose commitment to science and societal progress fuels his own aspirations.

Abdul-Malik is actively involved in various extracurricular and community development initiatives. As an alumnus of Lead for Ghana, a Programs Coordinator at HERPol-Africa, and a Project Lead and Catalyst at EduSpots, he has cultivated strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills essential for success in any field.

With a deep sense of social responsibility, he aspires to become a lecturer and researcher in health sciences. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. At the same time, he serves as a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Data Officer on the USAID-funded Systems Strengthening Activity in the Ghana Education System (SAGES SSA).

Through all his efforts, Abdul-Malik remains committed to driving impactful change in his community and beyond, with a vision to inspire the next generation of changemakers through education, research, and service.
