Bhavik has worked at the intersection of development, innovation and technology for many years, and believes in the power of community to lead the change it needs.
Bhavik is the Co-Founder of Partnership Bureau, a Ghana-based organisation focused on creating more agency for people and communities in the Global Majority through addressing issues of power, equity and access.
Previously, Bhavik lived in Ghana, working at MEST Africa, a Pan-African tech hub that works on digital skills and employability, venture incubation and acceleration and investment across Africa. Bhavik built out their research and impact function, exploring areas such as emerging technologies, youth engagement and digital skills, among others.
Having initially started working in banking and economic research, Bhavik then worked at Nesta, the UK’s innovation foundation. He worked on challenge-driven innovation, collaborating across Africa, South Asia, Europe, and the UK on agriculture, STEM education, financial inclusion, global health, and more.
Bhavik is an economist-turned- anthropologist, holding an undergraduate degree in Economics and postgraduate degrees in Development Studies and Social Anthropology.
