Nimatu Abdul Rahman

Deputy Chairperson, Catalyst Committee

Nimatu Abdul Rahman is a passionate educator and community advocate serving as Deputy Chairperson of the Catalyst Committee. She is the visionary founder of Savelugu Spot, which joined the EduSpots network in 2018. What began in a small office within the school she once attended has grown into a vibrant hub of learning and innovation, thanks to her leadership and commitment.

Over the years, Nimatu has led a variety of impactful projects in STEM, literacy, and gender equity. Her initiatives have included a spelling bee, mobile library, and STEM camp, all designed to expand learning opportunities and inspire young minds in her community. Her leadership journey was further shaped by her active participation in the EduSpots Catalyse Leadership Programme and Inspire Mentoring Programme, where she played a vital role in supporting the growth of the Catalyst Community.

As Deputy Chairperson, Nimatu brings a wealth of experience and strong relationships built across the EduSpots network. She is excited to use her role to ensure effective communication and collaboration between the Catalyst Committee and local Catalysts, making the committee a dynamic and responsive advisory group.

Nimatu’s story is one of resilience, service, and leadership, qualities that continue to inspire and shape the future of community-led education in Ghana and beyond.
