Head of Communications

As a dedicated social entrepreneur, Farida champions literacy in Nigeria through her role as founder and literacy leader at The Bookworm Café. This vibrant children’s literary organization encompasses a library, bookstore, and book clubs, offering impactful programs to enhance literacy outcomes for Nigerian children.

With a background in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Benin, and over a decade long corporate experience spanning consulting, telecommunications, and energy sectors, she brings invaluable strategic insights that she now applies to social impact. Over the past eight years, she has successfully scaled The Bookworm Cafe from a local initiative into a recognized force for educational change.

Her passions include children’s literature, literacy development, STEM education, inclusive learning environments, and educational technology. In 2022, Farida joined EduSpots UK charity as Head of Communications on a part-time basis. She oversees all communications efforts for EduSpots amplifying EduSpots impactful educational initiatives on a global scale. Through this role, she continues to advocate for accessible, quality education while inspiring the next generation of young readers and learners.
