George Tunnacliffe
School Partnerships Support Officer (voluntary)
After graduating from the University of Leicester in 2017 with a degree in BA Geography, George took up a Graduate Assistant role at St John’s Leatherhead before becoming a Teacher of Geography at Brighton College.
Having been someone who has always been interested in the world around us and experiencing the differing cultures across the globe, George recently travelled across Asia, including teaching English in rural Sri Lankan schools for a charity called Extra Cover.
Through his experiences at university, teaching, volunteering and travelling, he has developed a passion for development and the discourses surrounding it, stepping away from life in the classroom to pursue opportunities in the third sector. During COVID-19, George took up a Msc in International Development at SOAS University of London and has recently started a role at Challenge Partners, an education charity.
In his spare time you are likely to find George involved in anything revolving around sport or exploring somewhere new!
