Gloria Agyemang

Chair of Trustees

Professor Agyemang joined the EduSpots board in July 2021, and since this time has offered exceptional commitment to her role as trustee through her consistent strategic input, hands-on support with staff development, recruitment and management, and the time she has taken to engage directly with Catalysts across the network through Ignite Talks and professional development sessions.

Gloria Agyemang is Professor of Accounting, and previous Head of the School of Business and Management (2016-2021) and Executive Dean of the School of Business and Management (2021-2022) at Royal Holloway, University of London. She holds a PhD in Management from the University of London. Receiving her undergraduate degree at the University of Ghana and her postgraduate at McGill University, Canada, she has both management and teaching experience at UK and African Universities.

Her diverse research interests include Accounting and Race, Culture and Diversity issues; NGO Accountability, Management Control and performance management in Public Sector Organisations, the Management of Educational institutions; Accounting and Sustainability Management in Emerging Economies, Accounting for Migration-Immigration and Accounting for Crime.

Gloria has stood on governing bodies and councils of 3 UK educational institutions: University of Worcester, Chartered Association of Business Schools and the British Accounting and Finance Association
