EduSpots is excited to share “Keeping Children Safe: Simple Steps for Every Parent”, our first animated video created as part of our Keeping Spots Safe safeguarding education work.

This resource responds to a critical gap identified in 2025. Many young people in our rural Spot communities are confident in using social media, yet many parents have little or no understanding of the digital spaces their children use each day.

Building on our picture flashcards, which Catalysts have used to lead safeguarding dialogues with parents regardless of educational background, this animation strengthens our multimodal approach to safeguarding education.

We aim to make this resource available in more local languages so that parents across Ghana can gain the knowledge and mindsets needed to support their children’s safety online.

We welcome feedback and invite partners and funders to join us in expanding our animated safeguarding resources for both parents and learners, using a rights-based approach rooted in the lived experiences of our Spot communities.
