We have two big aims for schools to support us with in 2024-2025, whilst offering education sessions on digital equity and literacy development:
1. Funding 100 devices (tablets, loaded with apps, books and the EduSpots app, with wifi kits & data already supplied) – with funding DOUBLED during the December Big Give appeal.
2. Purchasing and collecting 30,000 books (we have a lot of empty shelves to fill across the 50 Spots, including 14 brand new Spots to equip!)
These make perfect direct impact projects for students of any age to engage with, that also qualify for CAS, Duke of Edinburgh’s award recognition, with shiny certificates for star impact creators!
We have previously worked with students at Wellington College, Eton College, Sevenoaks School, Brighton College, Thorpe St Andrew School and Sixth Form, Brentwood School, Benenden School, University College of London and the University of Warwick Economics Society, alongside others!
The diagram below explains how we recognise student teams, and equip them with learning opportunities.

The EduSpots context
Currently learners are crowded around 1 or 2 devices in a Spot, with most learning ICT off a blackboard in schools. Most schools EduSpots’ Catalysts work with have less than 50 reading books, and lack adequate government text books for the latest curriculum.
This basic resource deficiency greatly extends educational inequity and places a limit on exam performance and resulting life opportunities for amazing young learners in rural communities.
Our community-led model, driven and pioneered by 300 locally-based Catalysts, aims to transform core learning opportunities, also bringing play-based practical learning methodology into schools, all whilst building a movement of empathetic active citizens!
