We are delighted to announce that we have been selected as one of seven NGOs chosen by Theirworld as a 2025 Education Innovation Award Winner, drawn from hundreds of applications from across the world.
We are joining the fifth cohort of Theirworld Education Innovation Award which offers non-profits and charities in countries with marginalised learners support to help them scale up their innovations and expand their offerings so that more children get the opportunities they deserve.
As a result, EduSpots will receive £40,000 across 2026 to support its scale-up process, alongside leadership coaching, masterclass training sessions and one-to-one mentoring.
EduSpots will invest this in one new regional cluster of 12 new Spots, due to join the EduSpots network in June 2026, through a new streamlined Ignite Programme, as part of our ambitions to expand the network from 50 to 100 Spots in the next two years.
In the process, we will gain Theirworld’s support in evaluating the impact of diverse types of Spot partnerships, stretched across GES schools, community libraries, Ghana Library Authority libraries, NGO-led projects and private schools.
Theirworld’s grant and technical guidance will also support the launch of EduSpots Unlocked, planned in the next few weeks, to enable EduSpots to share more of its learnings with the wider education community, whilst boosting income generation.
A big thank you to the Theirworld team for their belief in our unique model of digitalised community-led education!
It’s been a long journey since first applying for the Theirworld Education Innovation Awards in 2023. Our advice to the wider education community: keep learning, keep adapting and just keep going!
We look forward to walking alongside the Theirworld team, their partners, and the other Award Winners in this next phase of our journey towards #OurCollectiveFuture.
