Meet the 2026 EduSpots Catalyst Committee

EduSpots is delighted to introduce the 2026 Catalyst Committee members, a group of dedicated Catalysts who will help guide and strengthen our network this year. The committee plays a formal advisory role in organisational decision-making, strengthening the already strong relationships between staff and Catalysts, and providing staff and trustees with a formal structure through which to ask for Catalyst input, ideas and leadership.

These Catalysts bring experience, fresh ideas, and a genuine passion for supporting and connecting the community of now 50 Spots spread over 11 regions in Ghana and Kenya.

The 2026 Committee members are:

  • Nimatu Abdul-Rahman, Savelugu Spot (Committee Chair)
  • John Nuvormawor, Agbledomi Spot
  • Abdul-Malik, Zangbalun Spot
  • Adam Ibrahim, Savelugu Spot
  • Love Doe El-Shaddai, Dadwen Spot
  • Hamidu Kaadri, Yamfo Spot
  • Adelaide Asaam, Funkoe Spot

A Bigger Role for 2026

This year, the Committee’s role has been expanded so that members can be even more involved in the work of EduSpots. Responsibilities for committee members include supporting special partnership education initiatives; supporting Spot visits, data collection and analysis; leading on administrative and regional Spot-based tasks such as new Catalyst orientations, Catalysts’ career development & recognitions; taking on unique leadership roles representing the network in strategic meetings and many others.

“My Hallmark is teamwork, and with EduSpot working as a team, I deemed it a great opportunity to join this year’s catalyst committee to help us work towards the impact EduSpot is making. Since the impact of the committee is on community and spot development, I would like to play a vital in driving positive change through continue support.” – Love Doe El-Shaddai, Dadwen Spot

These responsibilities are designed to give the Committee a stronger voice, strengthen Catalyst-led leadership, and ensure that each member can contribute their skills and ideas to make a meaningful impact across the network.

How the Committee Works

The Committee works closely with the staff team to determine the best ways of operating and making decisions that benefit the network. They also collaborate with trustee boards and advisory groups, ensuring that expertise and guidance from across EduSpots support the Committee’s work.

The Committee will meet at least once per quarter, with additional meetings as needed. Agendas will be shared in advance, and all Catalysts will have the chance to share their thoughts, with minutes from meetings shared transparently with the wider network. The Committee will also hold at least one in-person meeting each year, usually alongside the national conference, which they will help plan.

Looking Ahead

The 2026 Catalyst Committee brings energy, insight, and leadership to the network. With their expanded responsibilities, they will help ensure that EduSpots continues to grow in a way that is inclusive, collaborative, and impactful.

We congratulate the 2026 Committee members and look forward to seeing all that they will achieve this year!
