This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a small, but growing, global education charity, driving community-led change through education in both Ghana and the UK.
EduSpots creates, connects and empowers a network of over 300 teachers, community members and students in Ghana and the UK who believe in the power of education as a tool for change. We have supported 40 communities across Ghana to create community-led education centres – or ‘Spots’ – many powered by solar, whilst nurturing deeper reflection on sustainable development and leading programmes in practical STEM and literacy development, alongside our growing range of online courses. We won the Tes International Award in 2018 for the best UK international education project.
This is an exciting role within our small team of staff and volunteers – we may be small, but we deliver big! You will take the lead on managing the development and delivery of our school partnerships and our popular global development focused online courses. You will also coordinate a programme of events based fundraising activities to engage schools and our wider supporters in our work.
Whilst the role (which will be part-time, 8-16 hours/week) will include oversight of some school partnerships in Ghana, this role principally requires a strong understanding of the UK education system and fundraising in the UK context. Ideally, the candidate would live in travelling distance of Sevenoaks in Kent.
We are looking for someone who is energetic and a real self-starter. You may be a recent graduate, or someone bringing existing skills and experience in teaching, education, fundraising or development – whatever your background, you will need to be self-motivated, highly organised, with excellent communication skills and a strong alignment with our charity’s values and educational philosophy.
If this is you, then we would love to hear from you!
