Hours: Full time

Deadline: 7th June 2024

Summary

EduSpots is a UK and Ghanaian registered NGO which connects, trains, and equips local volunteers to drive sustainable community-led change through education centres named ‘Spots’. Together, we are creating a movement of community-based educators.

Since 2016, through working with over 300 local volunteers named ’Catalysts’, we have supported nearly 50 communities in creating community-led education spaces (libraries) named ‘Spots’, with an aim to move them towards our ‘Dream Spot Model’ which engages an estimated 10,000 learners annually.

We create collaborative and innovative learning opportunities through our Ignite Programme, which leads to the creation and leadership of community-led EcoSTEM, EduLit, EduKidz, and Ignite Equity clubs led by our community-based Catalysts across multiple regions in Ghana, alongside wider leadership development programmes for Catalysts and staff.

We are moving through an exciting period of innovation and growth, recently launching both our EduSpots app to support the effective delivery of our programmes and educational model, alongside a wider roll-out of digital devices and learning opportunities across the network.

We won the Tes International Award in 2018, and were a finalist for the Theirworld Innovation Prize in 2023. In 2021 our Founder was a Finalist in The Varkey Foundation’s Global Teacher Prize. Visit www.eduspots.org for further information.
