Join EduSpots’ Nationwide Book Drive – Let’s Collect 5,000 Books together! Every book donated opens a world of possibility for a child.
At EduSpots, we believe that every child deserves access to books that open their minds to new worlds, ideas, and possibilities. However, many young learners in our communities lack the resources they need to develop a love for reading. All through the month of March, you have the power to change that!
Our Mission:
EduSpots connects, trains and equips over 400 local Catalysts who are dedicated to transforming educational opportunities for over 10,000 learners in low-resourced communities across 50 community learning spaces (Spots) in Ghana and Kenya. Our Catalysts are leading an ambitious nationwide book drive with a target of collecting 5,000 books to stock our Spots with diverse and engaging books, nurturing the next generation of readers, thinkers, and leaders. We invite individuals, organisations, and book lovers everywhere to support this mission and help us create more reading opportunities for children.
Each book you contribute does more than fill a shelf – it provides a child with:
- The opportunity to see themselves represented in stories
- The chance to develop crucial literacy skills
- A foundation for academic success and lifelong learning
- The spark of imagination that fuels future aspirations
What We Need:
Our communities have specific needs that you can help fulfill:
- Basic level reading materials for emerging readers
- African fiction that reflects children’s lived experiences
- Local textbooks aligned with educational curricula
- Functional digital devices to support modern learning
- Educational resources that enhance classroom learning
How You Can Make a Difference:
Donate Books: Share the gift of reading by contributing new or gently used books for learners aged 5-18.
Furnish a Shelf: Transform a corner of a Spot into a haven for young readers by sponsoring the stocking and organisation of an entire bookshelf.
Provide Financial Support: Your monetary contribution enables us to purchase culturally relevant books and essential literacy materials, ensuring appropriate resources reach the communities that need them most.
