We are looking for committed staff volunteers!

We are team-building!

Alongside new paid staff roles in Ghana (see recent news articles for roles relating to operations and education), EduSpots is looking for further committed to volunteers who want to contribute in diverse ways to our ever-evolving work – which is all centred on supporting a network of 250 local volunteers who drive community-led change through education centres named Spots in rural Ghana and Kenya.

Through all these positions you will gain huge insight into education and international development and collective action through learning on a daily basis on WhatsApp from our active network of 250 volunteers in rural Ghana who are the main focus of our work and our reason for existence. Read our most recent impact report here.

You can apply for any of these positions by applying through Charity Jobs or sending your CV and cover letter to info@eduspots.org explaining your motivation for supporting through the position. We are looking for people who are committed and able to offer at least 5 hours/week, and support us in the longer term.

Internships

We are looking for committed and self-motivated interns who are keen to gain practical skills and understanding relating to education and international development, and provide wide-ranging support to our team in Ghana and the UK, to enable us to increase our impact in a period of growth. The internship will be remote for 3 months, with the opportunity of extending this period. The time is 7-10 hours / week but this can be spread out throughout the week. Due to limited organisational time, we need interns to be committed to the work, and able to work independently. We will consider interns in any geographical location. Read more on Charity Jobs here.

Student Ambassadors Network Manager

We are creating a dynamic ambassadors network to enable people of all ages to support EduSpots’ work whilst connecting with key issues in education and international development in the process. Our EduSpots Student Ambassadors are students across the world who support our work by organizing fundraising events, resource drives, and setting up EduSpots clubs within their schools and universities.  Whilst contributing, they will have the opportunity to engage deeply with complex issues in sustainable international development through online courses and talks, and connect with a network of other volunteers and students across the world.

The Student Ambassador Network Manager is responsible for leading and providing guidance and support to our EduSpots Ambassadors across the network as they conduct these activities and learn about development, and helping to drive the impact and growth of this network in the longer term. This would suit someone interested in development education. Read more on Charity Jobs here.

Community Fundraising  Officer

We are looking for someone to create and oversee our community fundraising strategy. This will involve identifying opportunities for EduSpots to raise funds from communities and individual donors, supporting individuals in leading fundraising events and campaigns, and supporting the growth of a network of ambassadors.  Read more on Charity Jobs here.

Communications & Design Support Officer

We are looking for someone to support us across the organisation with communications and design work. This will be relating to a wide range of our activities, ranging from our delivery work in Ghana, to fundraising and partnerships engagement in the UK and international context. Teacher Ambassadors

We are looking for teachers who are passionate about educational equity who are looking to develop a school partnership with EduSpots. You will recruit and mentor student ambassadors in your school to support EduSpots’ work in Ghana whilst learning about sustainable community-led development. Note that this role is not for teachers who want to set up a ‘Spot’ in their school, but rather support our Spots in Ghana through fundraising and resource collections whilst enabling their students to learn.
