Andy Ferrington
Intern (Communications and Partnerships)
Andy is a professional pilot by career training, flying the Boeing 787 for a major UK airline worldwide, but keen to commit his time off around the world to remotely support EduSpots’ network & vision. Andy holds a PG Cert in Development Management and is working towards his MSc Global Development with the Open University. With a passion for community-led change rooted in first-hand experience with grassroots NGO construction projects in rural Kenya, Andy passionately believes that education is at the heart of all global development‘s solutions and opportunities. He has co-led projects to construct six primary school classrooms in southern Kenya between 2010 and 2014 – a country which he visits regularly and which remains close to his heart. As a keen photographer and avid traveller, Andy has lived, worked, and volunteered overseas, and visited over 70 countries worldwide, aiding his world-view of global development challenges – and humanity’s collective solutions for them.
