As the World Cup starts, join the Play for Play Challenge!

Turn Play into Opportunity

What if a football match, quiz night or dance-off could help create more opportunities for children and young people to learn?

Play for Play is EduSpots’ fundraising challenge, inviting schools, universities, workplaces, community groups and families to celebrate the power of play while raising funds for community-led learning spaces across Ghana.

Whether you organise a sports tournament, music event, treasure hunt or something completely original, every challenge helps expand access to play-based learning, youth leadership and education.

How It Works

Getting involved is simple:

  • Build your team.
  • Learn about EduSpots and the power of play.
  • Choose or create your fundraising challenge.
  • Plan and promote your event.
  • Play, fundraise and have fun.
  • Celebrate your impact and share your story.

Need Inspiration?

You could organise:

  • A football tournament or fun run.
  • A dance-off or drama performance.
  • A music showcase or karaoke night.
  • A quiz, board games event or treasure hunt.
  • A talent show or creative building challenge.

Or invent your own playful fundraiser.

Make Twice the Difference

From 1–8 December 2026, donations through The Big Give campaign will be doubled, meaning every pound raised has twice the impact.

Together, we’re aiming to raise £150,000 to help 50 more community-led Spots join the EduSpots network.

Every game played and every donation helps children and young people learn, lead, play and thrive.
