Nimatu Abdul-Rahman

Project Leader and Peer Mentor (Volunteer Community)

My name is Nimatu Abdul-Rahman, from Tamale in the Northern part of Ghana. I am a Nurse by profession and I am very passionate about community development.

I started volunteering for EduSpots immediately after senior high school.
I volunteer for and lead the Savelugu Spot and this has helped me in so many ways in personal development and gaining leadership skills and confidence in the process of working with the Savelugu community to take sole responsibility for their own growth and development through
Education.

I have seen myself grow through volunteerism and this growth has helped me attract and convince other young people in the Savelugu community to volunteer with me.

My motivation is the knowledge that reading widens our understanding of the society and makes creative.
