Farida Yesufu
Head of Communications
Farida is a social entrepreneur advocating for literacy in Nigeria. She is the founder and literacy leader at The Bookworm Cafe. The Bookworm Cafe is a children’s literary organization that owns a children’s library, children’s bookstore and children’s book clubs. They facilitate several impactful programs for improving literacy outcomes for Nigerian children.
Farida earned her bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Benin in Nigeria. She has over ten (10) years experience working in different corporate sectors from consulting to telecommunications to energy. She also has an additional six (6) years experience running The Bookworm Cafe. Farida is passionate about children’s literature, literacy, STEM, inclusive education and educational technology.
Farida is joining EduSpots UK charity part-time as the Head of Partnerships and Communications. In her role, she will manage EduSpots’ partnerships with organisations and individuals across the world and EduSpots’ Ambassadors Network as well as oversee communications as a whole.
