From the 20th July – 20th August Francis & Cat will be visiting all of our communities in Ghana, for the first time on a single trip, in a van filled with books and sustainable educational resources!
During this time they will deliver 22,000 books donated from 12 schools, alongside 3000 books donated by Book Aid International, and 3000 copies of our own Kwame’s Adventures and phonics books.
Follow their journey across the communities on @eduspots on Twitter and @edu_spots on Instagram.
A particular thank you to the Chalk Cliff Trust for sponsoring the book shipment this year, to the Fonthill Foundation for sponsoring the phonics book printing, and to students and teachers at Sevenoaks School for raising the funds to create and print Kwame’s Adventures.
Moving 200 miles together!
As the books are delivered, volunteers across our network will also be running, swimming, walking, rowing and cycling, trying to ‘beat the bus’ as it journeys across Ghana. They are hoping to raise £2000 of sponsorship to support the provision of much requested African text books and the sustainability of the centres more widely.
It’s not too late to join the squad!
